Albion Park Vet

Tess Kennedy

Practice Manager
Tess has been our Practice Manager since 2010, bringing with her vast experience as both a Veterinary Nurse and Pharmaceutical Representative. Tess has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and Human Resources, an Advanced Diploma of Management and most recently a Bachelor of Business in 2014.

​Tess has a husband and two children who share their home with three furry children, “Angus” a 2 year old Border Collie, “Pip” a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier, and “Marlie” a 3 month old DSH kitten. When she is not at work, Tess enjoys gardening, mosaicing, fitness training and health.

Shanti Wale

Veterinary Nurse/ Nurse Coordinator

Shanti joined our team in 2018 taking on a maternity leave position, becoming our permanent nurse coordinator shortly afterwards. After completing her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2008, she has gained extensive experience having worked at several clinics including RSPCA Katoomba and Yagoona.

Shanti is particularly interested in anaesthetics, radiology, feline medicine and pocket pets care.

In her spare time Shanti enjoys horse riding, spending time with her rescue cat Enid and spending time with her family and rescue Guinea Pig Skunk.

Kit Lace

Veterinary Nurse

Kit has been part of our nursing team since 2005. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2007 through a traineeship with the Albion Park Veterinary Hospital and is now one of our top senior nurses. Kit is interested in dentistry and surgical nursing, and has completed continuing education courses in pathology and infectious diseases. Kit is our resident techno-wiz and is always looking to incorporate new technologies into the practice.

Kit shares her home with her husband, 2 sons and aquarium full of colourful fish! When she is not working, Kit enjoys gaming, cosplay, tabletop hobbies, comic books, conventions, tattoo art and being a passionate aquarium nerd/fish mum.

Kylie Rowlan

Veterinary Nurse/ Nurse Coordinator

Kylie has been with the Albion Park Veterinary Hospital since 2005, having completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE Ultimo in 2000. She is interested in radiology, medical and emergency nursing and brings a wealth of experience from working as a critical care nurse at the Animal Referral Hospital in Homebush.

Kylie shares her home with “Moo Moo” a DLH kitty that Kylie rescued from the clinic, “Marvel” a DSH kitty, and “Mac” a boisterous Labrador that’s keeping everyone on their toes. She also has a flock of chickens at home, and a beehive full of bees!

Kylie shares her life with her husband, two step-sons and daughter. When she is not busy working, she enjoys travelling, being outdoors in the sunshine.

Katelyn Cable

Veterinary Nurse

Katelyn joined our team in 2015 after working with several clinics in the Illawarra and the RSPCA Yagoona. She completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies in 2011 and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2013. She has an interest in orthopaedic surgery and a passion for pugs.

Katelyn shares her home with her husband, young daughter, her pug (Maddie) and two guinea pigs (Sunny and Sky)

 

When Katelyn is not working she enjoys crocheting, going for long walks and spending time with her family.

Andrew March

Veterinary Nurse

Andrew “Drew” joined our team in 2019, after working in multiple hospitals around Sydney.

Drew graduated from Bankstown TAFE in 2014, jumping in to Veterinary Nursing around Sydney, including the RSPCA and Emergency Specialist Centres.

Andrew has a particular interest in surgical nursing, analgesia and anaesthesia, and clinical pathology.

Andrew shares his home with his beautiful wife, one fur baby and one human baby, both of which take up much of his spare time.

Emma Ward

Veterinary Nurse

Emma joined our team in early 2020 after completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. She became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2022.

Emma was a late comer to the veterinary world, but hasn’t regretted the career change for a single second. Her main areas of interest are surgical nursing and pathology.

When she isn’t working, she’s trying to win over her dog Tippy (who definitely likes her partner more), playing board games, caring for her two Guinea Pigs (Squid and Gnocchi) and living up to her title of clinic bird nerd.

Melanie Puggioni

Veterinary Nurse

Melanie has been a part of our team since early 2020, completing her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Yallah Tafe in 2019.

Melanie loves all aspects of Veterinary nursing, having a particular interest in medical and surgical nursing, radiology and pathology.

When Mel isn’t working, she enjoys playing soccer, and spending time with friends and family.

Melanie shares her home with her rescue dog Zola, a German Short Haired Pointer named Weida, 2 rescue cats named Ritz & George, and Nora the Central Bearded Dragon!

Rhiannan Robinson

Veterinary Nurse

Rhiannan started with our clinic as a work experience student in 2019. After gaining her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Tafe in 2020 she started working as a qualified Nurse full-time at both our clinics.

Her main interests in the clinic are surgical nursing and pathology and anything to do with puppies!

Outside of work she enjoys watching netflix, walking her furbabies and spending time with friends and family.

Rhiannan shares her home with her dog named Storm, and her cats named Mia and Binx.

 

Taylah Mathews

Veterinary Nurse

Taylah has been with us since 2016, starting as a kennel hand, and progressing through the ranks towards becoming a fully-qualified Veterinary Nurse in 2021.

Taylah has a broad interest in many aspects of Veterinary Nursing, but particularly enjoys emergency nursing, medical nursing, and pathology. She also takes an interest in everything puppies!

She shares her home with Wesley the Dachshund and Ruby the Mastiff X. When Taylah isn’t working she enjoys spending time with friends, shopping, watching Netflix and being with her loved ones.

Mollie Urquhart

Veterinary Nurse/ Marketing Coordinator

Mollie joined our team in May 2022. After spending 4 years in the industry. Completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2019, she now works as a Veterinary Nurse, Marketing Coordinator and Puppy Preschool teacher here at Albion Park Vet. 

In the clinic Mollie’s interest lies in medical nursing, dog behaviour and marketing. 

When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her fur babies, managing her airbnb’s and travelling around NSW adventuring.

Mollie shares her home with her 2 Cavaliers, 2 Cats, 2 Guinea Pigs and male Eclectus Parrot. 

Isabelle Ryan

Veterinary Nurse

Isabelle (Izzy) joined our team in 2023. After completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2020, she went on to work at another local clinic until joining our team!

In the clinic Izzy is interested in all things surgery and medical nursing, but particularly enjoys pathology and anaesthesia.

When she is not working she enjoys hiking, reading and going on adventures with her Yokie “Soup”!

Cara Langridge

Receptionist

Cara joined our team in November 2021 as our receptionist with previous Veterinary Nursing experience in the Illawarra. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2007.

In clinic, Cara can be found fitting a balance harness to a boisterous dog, or helping clients with answering their many questions about nutrition and many other topics. She loves helping clients and their pets feel comfortable in the Vet Clinic.

Cara shares her home with her husband, two children, cat and a naughty standard poodle named Doug.

In her spare time Cara enjoys spending time with her family, doing activities outside with her children or bring dragged into the world of Minecraft with them.
